It's got to get better...

Well I'm currently getting over a cold...when it rains it pours I guess. Didn't get to do my solo at church like I was supposed to...luckily Michelle and Leslie stood in for me. They're such great friends...luv em.

Still tired....but part of that is my fault...honestly...Hubby got me hooked on a new game...actually it's one of Brennan's games he got for Christmas...it's called Bookworm Deluxe...it kind of reminds me of a mix of Scrabble, Tetris and word search. You have to find the words on the Scrabble looking board...the bigger the word you find the more points of course. Then there are tiles that catch fire and you have to get rid of those before they hit the bottom of the board. Totally addicting to me...I spent I think about 3 hours playing this game yesterday...lost all track of time...IKE!!! It's all hubby's fault for getting me on to it :-) Honestly though, it's a cool game and educational. Both things that I like for the boys. Check it out...we got ours at http://www.amazon.com.

So onto my next day of Disney adventures. Tuesday, December 27th was spent again at Magic Kingdom....this was a blast...we spent this day on the left hand side of the park which was Frontierland, Adventureland and Liberty Square. First thing we did was get Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (by far the most awesome ride in the whole park in my opinion...I think we rode it about 4-5 times during the whole trip...IT ROCKS!!! I can't say enough about this ride...it was my fav 20+ years ago and still is my fav. The boys...even fraidy cat Austin loved it! We had trouble getting Colton off of it...he LOVED it!) We of course did the Pirates of the Carribean. Wanted to do the Jungle Cruise...but the line was too long and they were no longer doing Fast Pass when we got to it. I highly recommend doing Fast Pass for the popular rides...beats standing in the long lines...and during this day...the lines were long! We went in the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House...We then ate lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern and caught the parade while we were there...here is a pic of my and the boys waiting to get seated at our table... Lunch was good...I had crab cakes as an appetizer and the pot roast...it was good but it was a little salty...I don't like a lot of salt, but over all I can't complain...there was plenty to eat. For dessert I had buttered pound cake covered with caramel and pecans...yum!
For dinner we went and ate at Cinderella's Royal Table...which is actually in Cinderella's castle on the second floor. SOOOO COOL! And once we got inside there was Cinderella...no lines (we waited the day before for an hour to get autographs of Pluto, Minnie and Goofy...wouldn't do that again...though the kids liked meeting them)...Meeting Cinderella was a highlight of the trip. Colton was really into Cinderella before we went because the twins were on a big Cinderella kick and would watch it just about everyday while I was watching them. Cinderella goes up to Colton and says, "You're the handsome Prince I've been dreaming about aren't you?" Colton got the hugest grin on his face...that's when I got the most precious picture of the whole trip... is this not the most adorable picture!!! Look at that little guys face...when we asked him during the trip who gave him a kiss...he'd blush and say "Cinderelly". Then he proceeded to give the beautiful princess a kiss back. What a ham!!!!!!

The evening ended with watching the fireworks and looking at the beautiful castle at night. The lights on it would change to blue, to purple, to a teal color, green, and there was even snowflakes projected on it...so incredibly amazing...the pics don't do it justice. It was another wonderful day...by the way...I took a pedometer with me and was averaging about 5 miles per day on this trip...lots of walking, but still a ton of fun! Still can't wait to go back...are we there yet?!?!?

Hope all is well with all of you...

Tired..tired...tired...

I'm so sick of being tired. Today I was able to get some much needed grocery shopping done and fix dinner...that was about it and about all that I had the energy for. Then I sat down at my computer tonight and realized, "Oh crud I have a church calendar that needs to go out this weekend and I haven't even started it!" So needless to say I did that and thank God it went together rather smoothly. So after I'm done here I'm going to do our usual Friday night movie night with the kiddos and probably end up crashing on the couch. It's been truly an exhausting and trying week...I'm ready to move on.

Well to carry on with my Disney trip...On December 26th we spent the day at Magic Kingdom with my parents. What a blast...first thing we went to do was Small World of course. It's one of my favorite rides just because of the nostalgia of it. It's the one and only ride I remember when I went to Disneyland at the age of 3 or 4. It's something special for me.

Then we went through Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. The boy's favorite ride of the day (especially for Austin) was Stitch's Great Escape. This was the ride that they were most looking forward to.

Here is a pic we took of the castle when we walked into the park...I was actually able to catch the fireworks in mid air...tooo cool.

We ate lunch at the Plaza Restaurant. Good food...especially the Tomato Bisque Soup.

We went to Disney's Philharmagic which is a 3-D show...phenominal...I think we saw it 3 times while we were there... shortly after that my parents had to leave us to take care of a situation with my little brother. After that we kind of tried to see as much of Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Disney's Toon town as we could. The park was packed and lines were long. But we still had a great time despite all that.

We later ate dinner at the Crystal Palace where a majority of the Pooh characters were. The boys loved this not only because they had their own personal kids buffet, but the characters went through the restaurant about twice...they loved seeing the characters.

After dinner we watched the fireworks. Can we say amazing...how about breathtaking...I stood there in the middle of Fantasyland and was literally in tears cause I just couldn't believe we were there and that this was so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! Then before the fireworks were over we hoped on the Haunted Mansion ride and got right on...SCORE! I love the Haunted Mansion ride...Austin hated it...had his eyes closed the whole time...he can be such a fraidy cat...he makes me laugh. We tooled around a little after that...saw the Spectromagic parade and pretty much then called it a night. Kevin was in total awe of the Spectromagic parade...I can't remember the last time I saw him so in awe and in smiles...probably since the last new car show I attended with him maybe...it was so nice to see him have some fun and RELAX! It was truly a wonderful first full day at Disney World!

Can't wait to go back....how about right now :-)

Well...

Well as scared as I am to say it I think I'm feeling better (thanks for those who prayed for me)...so far so good at the moment. Hubby went to the doctor today...doc wants to do some blood work on him and then go from there...not sure if hubby may have had a gall stone or something. I'm just praying it's nothing serious, not that gall bladder problems isn't serious, but you know what I mean. I've got to torture this man for a few more years at least ;-) I know most of his problems are stress related. He's been dealing with upper respiratory infection since before we left for Disney and acid reflux...now this possible gall bladder thing...I know it's all because of the stress he's under at work with this doing all the supervisor work exclusively now. I worry about him...he's way too young to be going through what he's going through at the moment...please keep him in your prayers.

Well on a lighter note and since I finally got my pics downloaded tonight I will share a few pics of our trip. Now I will share a few each night and kind of go in chronological order as to what we did what day. Tonight I will be sharing what we did on Christmas Day...actually a month ago as of yesterday...has it been that long ago already??

Well first of all I think I've mentioned I hate to fly. This time was no exception. My boys loved the flight, however mommy doesn't fly so well. The pilot brought the plane down so fast that the change in air pressure made me sick. But once I got past that I was fine. Overall the airlines experience was good. We get to our hotel and we are staying at the All Star Movies Resort...we are staying in the Dalmations "wing". It was cool. We went to Boma's Restaurant which was an African Restaurant in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Very good food. My favs were the Couscous Marakesh and the Chocolate Mousse Crunch. Most tasty. As you will soon see we ate well while we were there. We left there and toured around the Lodge. Each resort had a Christmas tree decorated in the theme of their hotel. They were amazing. Then we went back to our room to rest for the next day....MAGIC KINGDOM! More on that with tomorrow's post. I'm just glad to finally share my trip with you all...sorry you had to wait so long. Pics below are of my hubby and my little Coltie. Also pictured are my parents...who by the way footed this amazing vacation...Thanks! Well more tomorrow.

I'm ready for 2007...

OK...so far 2006 isn't going so well...I'm ready to move on already. It has been an awful couple weeks. I've been dealing with a terrible kidney infection...almost had to go to the hospital. Got a couple shots and some antibiotics which took care of the infection, but then gave me a whole bunch of other problems: constipation, fatigue, lightheadedness, nausea...so I stopped taking the meds (per the doctors say so of course) and I'm still dealing with this awful fatigue. I feel like there is this heavyness on my chest and I'm just so tired. Yesterday I was feeling a bit better and I thought I was on the mend. Today I feel like I'm back at square one. It's been terrible.

Then last night I had to take the hubby to the ER...he was having severe side pain on his right side. I thought ofr sure that it was kidney stones. Doctor thought so too. After x-rays, blood and urine tests, and even a cat scan found it it wasn't kidney related at all. They thought maybe it was gall bladder or liver. So he went to the hospital to have an ultrasound today on his gall bladder and liver and they're thinking that there may be something wrong with his gall bladder. He has to go see our doctor tomorrow to see what he wants hubby to do next....when it rains it pours. Luckily for the most part the kids are doing OK.

I'm just very discouraged and beat down right now. I'm just not sure why all this is happening. I've changed my blog song again...kind of goes with how I'm feeling right now. It's by the Christian girl band called Barlow Girl. Like I said...I'm ready for 2007 already.

Pray for us.

Well I'm back for now...

PTL and halleluiah!! I'm back and up and running. I've so missed my computer, but I've gotten a lot more done around my house without this thing :-)

I'm hoping to have Disney photos up and available soon...again I will give a low down of the trip then...I was so spoiled...the food was phenomenal and I'm having a hard time going back to cooking and my food....I want to go back :-)

One thing I have to brag about my trip...a find that I so have to tell everyone about...while at Downtown Disney I found this wonderful little bath shop called Basin...amazing!!! I bought a tube of their bath bombs....talk about a little piece of heaven in the bath! The fragrances are so intoxicating and they make your skin feel so soft. I've tried the Christmas Cookie and Holiday Cheer. They are good. The one I tried last night (I think it was Serenity)...it turned the water an amazing blue and the scent was so incredible...a must try. So if you are in need of treating yourself to something special...go check these out...you won't be dissapointed.

Well I hate to cut this short, but I have to go to bed...I think I'm getting a cold and I need to get boys up for school tomorrow.

Hope all has been well with you all.

Bad luck and trojan horses...

Well folks I'm not sure when I'll be back...my PC has become ill with a ton of Trojan Horse viruses which my brother in law (bless his heart) has helped me to get rid of but PC is still acting flaky so until I get the problem remedied I won't be on here much...I'm hoping it won't lock up before I post this...Hope all of you are doing well and I'll try to get back soon.

She's BBAAACCKKKK!

Yes folks I'm back...not sure what is wrong with Blogger tonight but I just typed a great long post and it didn't save it for whatever reason...so now it's late and I need to get to bed so I'll keep this short for now and write more later...had an awesome time...great time with family...great, no, awesome food....great experiences...would definitely do it again...tired and glad to be home...just did laundry for two days straight...helped boys tonight with 2 days worth of homework AACCKKK!!...but overall I and I believe the family had a great time.
